On Tuesday 25^th March 2025, Oak  class travelled to Rotherham to attend a creative writing workshop at Grimm & Co. Grimm & Co is a registered charity and their core purpose is to change lives one story at a time. They support children to gain confidence and skills around creativity and writing.

After our arrival, we were introduced to a magical world of books and fantasy. This helped us to discover our creativity and imagination.  Various artists, one-to-one mentoring and exciting projects helped to  spark our motivation to write.

As part of our writing journey, we had experienced story mentors, scribes and an illustrator to bring our own story to life. We had to create our own characters, decide on a setting and a plot. This was very exciting. At the end of the workshop we each received our own story book. However, the best part of the day was when we went down the beanstalk.
