Cowbit Primary is a small aided Church of England school that teaches respect, politeness and the Christian values of caring and sharing.

We work at our school to enhance the learning of all children of all abilities and we aim that pupils will reach their education potential with a positive self-image and with enjoyment.

Admissions

Children are admitted to the school in the September of the academic year in which they are five.

There are however places for those children who are three before 31st December to attend Little Angels Pre-reception classes in the following January, children who are three before March 31st, to attend Little Angels Pre-reception classes in the following April and...

Staff & Governors

All of our governors are very committed people and take an active part in what is happening in the school. When time from their work allows, they help and support the staff as much as possible. They are also there to help and listen to you as parents and are more than willing to answer any enquiries you may have.

Child Safety

At Cowbit St. Mary’s School, our aim is to care and protect the health and welfare of all children. It is our aim to be alert to any signs, which may indicate abuse – neglect, physical, emotional and sexual. We will always put the children first and provide support to the child and the child’s family if possible.

Clubs & Amenities

All year, the school runs an after-school football club which is on Fridays, 3.10 – 4.10 on the village playing field. Gardening club meets weekly on Monday lunchtimes. Yoga Bugs for K.S.2 meets after school Tuesday 3.10-4.10 p.m. in school.Choir for y2-6 meets every Wednesday lunchtime. Art class meets after school on Wednesday 3.10-4.10 p.m. in school...

Parents & Friends

The Parents and friends of Cowbit School is made up of a band of committed parents who help raise funds for the ‘nicer’ things of our children’s life, perhaps an educational trip or a visit by a performing theatre group. They work tirelessly, at fairs, bazaars, jumble sales, Christmas parties to name but a few. They meet once every term and are always looking for extra hands.
