1:1 Teaching Assistant:
We are seeking a highly motivated, flexible and experienced team player. Working hours are 8.45-3.15 - 30 hours a week
The successful candidate will be committed to helping children to succeed, have excellent communication skills and be able to work on their own initiative.
Overview of the role of 1:1 Teaching Assistant:
We are looking to appoint a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide support to a child who has an Educational Health Care Plan.
The successful candidate will ensure that the child they support makes excellent progress in all areas of a carefully modified curriculum, to reflect their needs. You will spend most of your time in the classroom or working on a 1:1 basis.
· Providing support to students in and out of the classroom
· Assisting Teachers with a range of educational needs
· Providing students with the care and compassion they need to thrive in school
· Liaising with parents and external agencies where suitable
· Supporting with appropriate interventions such as literacy and numeracy matched to the child's Educational Healthcare Plan
· Work collaboratively as a team to improve outcomes for our students
The role is spilt to include 1:1 responsibilities at lunchtime.
